Gourcuff certainly does look an execellent player – the bottom line is no matter how good the French players are they’ve got to get the right move to the top leagues to truely become brilliant.

Out of the players you mentioned I think in 2 or 3 years’ time they’ll all be in either Spain, England or Italy and they’ll benefit because of this.

One French potential superstar you havent mentioned is Mamadou Sakho. The youngest ever player to captain a Ligue Un side. He can play as left back and centre certainly one to watch out for.
